The federal judge in Florida overseeing the classified documents case against former President Donald Trump has granted a partial pause in the trial, after Trump’s legal team requested a review of the Supreme Court's recent ruling on presidential immunity before proceeding with the trial. [more]
Two radio hosts said that President Joe Biden's campaign aides supplied them with questions to ask him ahead of recent interviews. [more]
Boeing has agreed to plead guilty to a criminal fraud charge related to the 2018 and 2019 crashes of two 737 Max jets that killed 346 people, and will pay an additional fine of $243.6 million. [more]
The Kansas Supreme Court struck down two pro-life laws: a 2015 ban on dilation and evacuation abortions - a procedure banned in more than 30 states that’s typically done in the second trimester of pregnancy; and a 2011 law detailing safety regulations and licensing requirements for abortion clinics. The rulings were made with a 5-1 majority and one abstention. The two laws were already temporarily paused due to ongoing litigation. [more]

A left-wing group has won the most seats in the French parliament, after the second round of voting. However, none of the three major parties won an absolute majority, leaving the country in a state of political uncertainty. [more]
Masoud Pezeshkian wins Iran’s presidential runoff election to replace the former president who recently died in a helicopter crash. [more]
U.S. troops have completed their withdrawal from Niamey, Niger, and will fully depart from Agadez before the September 15 deadline set by Niger's military rulers. Niger's new leaders had ended a military cooperation deal with Washington after a coup in July 2023, affecting around 650 U.S. soldiers who have been involved in regional anti-jihadist missions. Health officials have confirmed a human case of plague in Colorado. [more]
