Top Highlight
(Sept. 4) Four people were killed in a high school shooting in Apalachee, Georgia. At least 9 people were taken to hospitals. The deceased victims have been identified by authorities; 2 students and 2 teachers.
The suspect—Colt Gray, 14—was arrested and charged with four counts of felony murder and has a hearing set for Friday Sept. 6. He was known to the FBI and was interviewed by them last year. Also the school received an anonymous tip warning about multiple shooting threats but didn’t do anything. He had broken laws already in place that would have, if followed, prevented this tragedy.
The suspect’s dad—Colin Gray, 54—was on Thursday Sept. 5 arrested and charged with four counts of manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder, and eight counts of cruelty to children.

(Sept. 5) President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden has pleaded guilty to all nine charges against him in a federal tax case. [More]
(Sept. 3) Linda Sun, a former top aide to New York Govs. Kathy Hochul and Andrew Cuomo, was arrested and charged with spying for the Chinese Communist Party. [More]
(Sept. 3) U.S. stocks plunged amid growing concerns of economic turmoil. The S&P 500 fell 2.1%, the Dow Jones dropped 626 points, while the Nasdaq lost 3.3%. [More]
DOJ Actions
(Sept. 5) The Department of Justice charged a former Trump adviser for the 2016 presidential campaign—Dimitri Simes—with working for a sanctioned Russian TV network, and of money laundering. His wife was also charged. [More]
(Sept. 4) The DOJ seized 32 internet domains and also indicted two employees from RT over alleged Russian disinformation as part of alleged election interference efforts.
For the latter indictment, the DOJ alleged that the two RT employees deployed nearly $10 million to publish RT-curated content via a Tennessee-based online content creation company—later identified as Tenet Media, which features personalities such as Benny Johnson, Tim Pool, Dave Rubin, and more. (Sept. 5) Youtube said it was terminating the Tenet Media channel as well as four channels operated by Tenet owner Lauren Chen. Meanwhile, Blaze Media has terminated its contract with Chen.
(Sept. 3). The DOJ charged several leaders of the Hamas terrorist group with kidnapping and murdering Americans in the group’s Oct. 7 attack on Israel. [More]
Election 2024
(Sept. 5) Trump said he would form an Elon Musk-inspired government efficiency commission, led by Musk, to audit U.S. agencies. [More]
He separately announced that he’d propose lowering the corporate tax rate to 15% for companies that produce in the United States. [More]

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., after having dropped out of the presidential race, has been trying to get his name off the ballots of several battleground states as he doesn’t want to draw votes away from Trump. Judges in Michigan and North Carolina recently ruled his name will remain on the ballot. He recently also filed a lawsuit to remove himself from the Wisconsin ballot.

(Sept. 5) Police killed a suspected terrorist in a shootout near the Israeli consulate in Munich, Germany. [More]
(Sept. 4) Authorities announced that Alice Guo, a former mayor in the Philippines was arrested in Indonesia, accused of ties to Chinese criminal syndicates. She was later deported and arrived in Manila early Friday Sept. 6.
