Fewer than seven weeks remain until the Nov. 5 election. Below are some key news highlights I’ve flagged. Though not an exhaustive list of everything that happened, I hope this information is useful for your planning and decision-making.
Domestic
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has reportedly (ie anonymous sources, we cannot 100 percent confirm yet) fast-tracked an effort by left-wing billionaire George Soros to acquire more than 200 Audacy U.S. radio stations in 40 states, which reaches 165 million monthly listeners, weeks ahead of the election. The United States is expected to spend another $375 million in military aid to Ukraine. [More]
The FDA has approved the first at-home flu vaccine that can be administered by a nasal spray. [More]
The CDC said whooping cough is on the rise in the United States. [More]
Ryan Routh has been charged with attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. [More]
And Congress has unanimously passed legislation to increase Secret Service protection for presidential candidates. [More]

Alexis Lorenze, 23, who suffers from severe symptoms after she received 3 vaccines at a California hospital, is still struggling with her condition. Here are some photos and a short update.

We should also note that Alexis had tested positive (via PCR test) for a parvovirus infection and hospital staffers believe her severe symptoms stem from that and not from the vaccines. (But that doesn’t explain why her symptoms came so suddenly just 10 minutes after receiving the vaccines. Perhaps we can just say the jury is out.)
A woman in New York died of eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) mosquito virus. That’s the second death in the U.S. this year. State health officials have declared an "imminent threat to the public for EEE,” and NY Gov. Kathy Hochul has activated a state response. [More]

A U.S. appeals court has reinstated two Arizona election laws designed to prevent people from being registered to vote in multiple jurisdictions. [More]
