• The Federal Reserve has cut interest rates by 0.5%. [More]

• California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a bill to curb deepfake content related to the election. [More]

• The FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr criticized the Biden administration over its rollout (or rather, non-rollout) of a $42.45 billion broadband initiative—led by none other than Vice President Kamala Harris. [More]

• Near the start of this week, Alexis Lorenze, 23, suffered severe symptoms after she was given three shots at a California hospital. She is still in a dire situation, although she has made some improvements since. [More]

• Oklahoma officials announced that they have removed 450,000 ineligible names from the voter rolls. This includes 97,065 dead voters. [More]

• The FBI said Iran attempted to pass hacked Trump campaign material to the Biden campaign. [More]

• Rep. Matt Gaetz has claimed there are 3 foreign assassination teams trying to kill former President Donald Trump. [More]

• A couple of Harris’s public remarks that went viral this week:

  • She told Oprah that any intruder to her home is “getting shot,” despite also having previously said she wants to take people’s guns away. [More]

  • She gave a vague rambling answer when asked about her plan to lower the cost of living. [More]

• Following an update, X has restored its service to many in Brazil despite a ban on the platform there. Now the country’s leadership is threatening X with hefty fines. [More]

• Israel planted explosive pagers in Lebanon that detonated simultaneously and injured hundreds of Hezbollah members, and killed at least 12 of them too. [More]

  • A leaked memo may show the extent of how many died and was injured, but we can’t confirm the source.

• The following day, walkie-talkies exploded in Lebanon, killing at least 9. [More]

• A fourth American has been detained over an alleged plot to kill Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. [More]

• Over to Melbourne, Australia: Monica Smit was ordered to pay $200,000 after winning an unlawful arrest case. The arrest took place at the height of COVID-19 restrictions. [More]
