The top highlight over the weekend was former President Donald Trump’s attempted assassination in West Palm Beach, Florida, which he survived.

Trump Faced A Second Attempted Assassination on Sunday Sept. 15

• It was barely two months since he survived his first assassination attempt. Thankfully, Trump is safe. [More]

  • He speculated he is being protected by divine intervention. [More]

• The suspect has been identified as 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh, who has since been charged with two federal gun crimes in relation to his activities on the day. [More]

• Rocket motor company Ursa Major has been awarded a $12.5 million contract by the Pentagon. [More]

• Rapper and record producer Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested after a grand jury indictment. [More]

• A San Antonio district court judge blocked the Texas attorney general's effort to prevent a major county from sending voter registration applications to many unregistered voters. [More]

• The bomb threats in Springfield, Ohio were all hoaxes from overseas, the governor said. [More]

• Russian leader Vladimir Putin has ordered Russia's military to increase by 180,000 soldiers. This is the third time he’s expanding the military since the Russia-Ukraine war started in February 2022. [More]

• China is making military training compulsory for children. [More]

• China has released a jailed U.S. pastor after nearly 20 years of wrongful detainment. [More]

• The Israeli military said there is a high probability that its own airstrikes in November killed three hostages taken by Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023. [More]
