• A federal grand jury has indicted four men, including Roger Alejandro Piñate Martinez, the president of Smartmatic, on charges of bribery and fraud involving electronic voting systems. [More]

• Police have released new bodycam footage that showed moments before when Trump was almost killed. The new video shows an officer arriving at the scene and asking to be lifted onto the roof, where the suspected gunman (Thomas Matthew Crooks) had settled. [More]

• Lots of online back and forth about Tim Walz’s military record amid allegations of “stolen valor.” There’s a lot to unpack, from Walz’s claim to have served in war, including that he was a part of Operation Enduring Freedom, to allegations that Walz left the military to politics after allegedly knowing of an impending deployment to the Middle East, to what his highest rank was.
