AT&T Hacked

AT&T announced that data from nearly all AT&T wireless customers was likely stolen by a hacker in a security breach in 2022. They believe the compromised data is currently not publicly available. [more]

Court

A federal judge in New York dismissed Rudy Giuliani's bankruptcy case, seven months after he sought bankruptcy protection following an order to pay $148 million in a defamation case involving two former Georgia election workers whom he had accused of helping to steal the 2020 election. [more]

A New Mexico judge dismissed Alec Baldwin's "Rust" case, ruling that the state withheld evidence. Baldwin was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for having killed a crew member on the movie set in 2021. [more]

A federal appeals court has ruled 2-1 that Tennessee's policy of not allowing people to change the sex on their birth certificates is not unconstitutional. “There is no fundamental right to a birth certificate recording gender identity instead of biological sex,” the majority decision stated. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has signed controversial legislation that will change how ballot recounts are conducted, while also adjusting the criteria for investigating election-related crimes in the state. [more]
